Perinatal Anxiety During COVID-19

šŸ˜•Prenatal Anxiety is a real thing...

As you await those scans and test results during pregnancy itā€™s totally normal to feel anxious and worried for many reasons. But for some women that worry turns into an anxiety that takes such a firm grip that day to day living becomes challenging.

The anxiety can strip enjoyment out of the things you usually love doing with friends and family, can make you so worried about going out or doing certain activities that you step back and even hide away from it all.

With the recent pandemic causing changes in how we feel about the risks around us, changes in how we see our healthcare providers during the antenatal window, and changes to who can accompany us for things like scans; there has been a natural rise in the anxiety levels of pregnant women.

šŸ¤°šŸ½šŸ„ŗIf you feel you are suffering from perinatal anxiety please reach out for some help. There are some wonderful hypnotherapy based tools and techniques that can ease the symptoms and enable you to move through and around the barriers which seem to have formed on the path ahead.

šŸ„°But for now- lets celebrate those scan photos of beautiful babies to come. Here is my last baby waving from the womb! Heā€™s now 3.5 and a very cheeky chap!

šŸ¤£Was your baby waving? Or sucking their thumb? Or doing summersaults in excitement to meet you?
